BHARATSEN – The Sun from India 2016
The Embassy of India in Dakar (Senegal) is pleased to announce the “BHARATSEN – The Sun from India”. This “BHARATSEN – The Sun from India” certificate will be issued annually by the Embassy of India, Dakar, to an individual Indian/Association/Indian company based in Senegal in recognition of his/her/its significant contributions in strengthening India-Senegal bilateral relations in any one of the following fields:
- Significant contribution in the field of Health and Education in Senegal.
- Significant contribution in enhancing Indian business opportunities in Senegal.
- Significant contribution in promoting the Indian culture in Senegal.
- Supporting India’s interests and cause in Senegal in a fruitful manner.
- Exceptional work in the field of welfare of the Indians and Senegalese and charity work in Senegal.
[For selection process, a 4-member Committee has been formed in the Embassy under the Chairmanship of the Ambassador of India. The Committee will evaluate nominations and select a recipient solely on merit.]
Rules and selection procedure
For the first edition ‘BHARATSEN 2016’, interested Indians nationals/associations/companies may send their nominations to this Embassy by 31st December, 2016 (to reach the Embassy before 1730 hrs). The nominations must be supported by a brief, stating the achievements/contributions made by them. All the nominations will be scrutinized and finalized by the Committee and the selected recipient of the “BHARATSEN – The Sun from India 2016” Certificate will be announced on 26th January, 2017 on the occasion of the celebration of the Republic Day of India.
